    Why eat chia seeds?

Chia seeds are a complete source of dietary protein providing all the essential amino acids. Rich in calcium, and also containing boron, chia seeds can act as a catalyst for the body in order to absorb and utilize available calcium.

    Why do chia seeds gel?

The soluble fiber in chia seeds forms gel when introduced to liquid. Chia seeds have the ability to absorb more than 12 times their body weight in water. This ability to hold water can prolong hydration and retain electrolytes in body fluids, especially during exertion. This gel also creates a physical barrier between carbohydrates and digestive enzymes, slowing the conversion of carbohydrates into sugar and extending endurance.

How to make a chia egg?

For one egg, take one tablespoon chia seeds to two tablespoons water. Let sit for 3-5 minutes so that gel can form before mixing into rest of recipe.

    Chia Seed Oil

I just received the oil so haven't had a chance to use it extensively. I'm currently using it topically as a facial treatment-moisturizer and love it. I'm also using it on really dry areas of skin on other parts of the body and it works very well. I feel good using this product because of the high omega content, which is virtually unheard of in other skin care treatments. Going back to nature is a great idea and I will continue using this product. I feel it is of high quality. Thank you.
