    Ahh… could two words sound more lovely together? Cacao butter is the oil extracted from a cacao bean, providing a rich source of essential omega fatty acids. Giving a rich aroma of chocolate this butter is used in recipes as well as skin care products.

    What is cacao butter?

    Our cacao butter is created by cold-pressing raw, organic cacao beans into a pressed cake, separating the oil from the protein and fiber. During this process the temperature never exceeds 120° F. The remaining dry cake-like material is then cold-ground and fine-milled into a powder. The separated oil is then molded into our cacao butter wafers.

    Why use cacao butter?

    As one of the most stable fats, cacao butter contains essential omega fatty acids making it great for skin care as well as food. This oil does not contain the same antioxidants and caffeine as the powder. The size and shape of the wafers make it easy to melt and chop for drinks and chocolate creations. With a low melting point, cacao butter is easy to use for skincare routines as it melts at body temperature.
