Olive Tapenade


  • 1 cup pitted black olives
  • 1 tbsp capers
  • 1 tbsp + 1 tsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 2 tsp fresh squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 ½ tsp Fresh basil minced or ½ tsp dried
  • 1 tsp crushed garlic (about 1 clove, or to taste)
  • Dash black pepper


      Process all in a blender till smooth.
      Spread on Garlic toast (raw or otherwise) and top with freshly chopped tomatoes, red onions, fresh basil, etc. A little goes a long way.
