Mike's Pecan Pie Bars

Ingredients

  • 4 cups raw pecans, chopped
  • 1 cup raw cashews, chopped
  • 1 cup sprouted buckwheat, ground
  • ¾ cup maple syrup
  • 1½ cup water
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp ground ginger
  • 1 tsp vanilla

      Procedure

      Chop pecans and cashews in food processor fairly fine and add ground buckwheat (can grind in Vitamix or electric coffee grinder), spices, vanilla and syrup.
      Mix all together and spread about ½ inch thick onto dehydrator tray lined with parchment or teflex sheets.
      Dehydrate 8 hours.
      Flip over and continue to dehydrate another 8 hours. Should be crisp and crunchy.
      Store in air tight container.
