G’dunions (Onion Rings)

  • 3 lb sweet onions (5 medium)


    Slice onions ¼” thick.  
    Place onions in bowl, lightly salt & toss.  
    Leave onions to sweat for 20 min. or longer.  
    Pour off onion juice & save for use in another recipe. Drain well.
    Place breading ingredients in food processor. Use ‘S’ blade to process till smooth.  
    Pour breading into bowl over onions & coat evenly. 
    Use tongs or hands to transfer onions to dehydrator onto non‐stick sheets.  
    Dehydrate 12 hrs @ 120°, flipping onions off drying sheets to mesh after 6 hrs of drying.
