What is Your Motivation to Become Healthy?

Being healthy is easy, you just have to find the motivation to do so.

Once you find the motivation and practice these habits on repeat, then it becomes a lifestyle. 

So what is your motivation to become healthy? 

What keeps you going?

I'll give you some pointers on how to stay on track, and how to stay motivated to live out a healthy lifestyle that will make you never want to quit!

Here they are:

1. CREATE OBTAINALBLE GOALS

Maybe you want to eat vegetarian once a day? Or exercise 5 times a week? Creating obtainable goals that you can easily reach will help you stay motivated. Something that helps me, is to write out a new goal each week - one that I reach and is obtainable.

2. WRITE OUT YOUR PLAN

What do you want to change. What do you want to take out? Or add into your routine? Write out how you're going to change and improve you're lifestyle, step by step. Have an action plan how and what you're going to do! Go get yourself a notebook and write it out.

3. UNDERSTAND THAT RESULTS TAKE TIME

Something that can cause you to quit trying to live out a healthy lifestyle could be not seeing immediate results. The results WON'T be immediate, so don't expect to see them the day after. They take time - weeks and even months! It's unhealthy to beat yourself up over not seeing results soon after starting. Don't let this defeat your motivation.

4. MAKE ONE SIMPLE CHANGE A DAY

Don't make more than one change a day - that's too much. Focus on one change for a day, then add another the next. Or even one change a week, then add another the following week! 

5. REWARD YOURSELF

It's important to reward yourself when you reach your goals. This is also how you stay motivated - you are able to look forward to something fun and exciting when the goals are met! Just make sure that these rewards are not going against your lifestyle. Maybe they could be going to get your nails done, watching a movie, buy a new piece of clothing, etc.

These are just five simple tips to keep you motivated to live a healthy lifestyle - whether it be exercising, eating healthy, practicing self-care everyday, etc. 

It's important to find what motivates you. Not only for health, but for life in general. Setting goals and making healthy changes is so important in life.
